  • Beeswax Wraps make fabulous gifts for your eco-conscious friends and relatives. They are an attractive reusable alternative to plastic wrap or cling film - and a great way to reduce the amount of plastic in your kitchen. The Wraps can be reused and if they are cared for well should last for many months. The Wraps in this store are made exclusively in my range of original designs.

Ingredients: 100% cotton fabric, pure beeswax, pine resin, jojoba oil
Instructions For Use: Cover your bowl or food item with the wrap, using the warmth of your hand to mould the wrap and create a seal around the item. They are not 100% airtight so are not intended to hold liquid. Wash after each use in cold water with a mild soap. Hang to dry and store flat or with minimal folding. Do not use with raw meat as wax wraps cannot be washed in hot water.

    Re-waxing
When the wraps start to look old you can refresh them in the oven by following these instructions:-

1 Preheat the oven to approximately 100 deg C (oven temperatures will vary). Ensure you have a rack and peg to hang your wrap to dry

2 Lay the wrap on a sheet of baking paper on a baking tray and place in oven for 5 minutes or until the Wrap has an evenly glossy look.

3 Remove from the oven and, as the wax hardens very quickly be sure to immediately and carefully lift the wrap off the baking paper and hang it by its edge on a rack to cool. The wax will leave some residue which can be cleaned off with oil.

4 Once the Wrap is cool (about 1 minute!) it is ready to be reused.

CAUTION As the wraps are home-made, they may contain traces of allergens common in households.
